What is a VVM report?

The Danish "Vurdering af Virkninger på Miljøet" (VVM) stands for Environmental Impact Assessment. A VVM report is prepared in order to identify and assess environmental impacts and consequences that can be expected in connection with a construction project. It also considers how any negative impacts on the environment can be avoided or reduced.   

The VVM consultation regarding the construction of a fixed link across the Fehmarnbelt (coast-coast) will be undertaken by the Ministry of Transport and will take place from 28 June 2013 to 20 September 2013. The Ministry of Transport will hold a public meeting on 29 August 2013 in Rødbyhavn.
